Frantzdale, Ulster County, New York, 1837, $1, I/U Advertising note, 6 inches x 3.5 inches, vignette of man with ax ready to hit a rabid appearing dog, Black border printed on thin translucent paper, Directions on how to treat a rabid dog would and the medication to take. Based on the date, I would say the cure was not very effective. The back has a notarized statement "for the cure of the bite of a mad dog...". VF condition. Amazing early advertising note/ receipt. First time seen by us and probably unique. Great gift for a veterinarian.
